I bought the Vortex VSS blade for some home renovation work—cutting through concrete pavers and brick—and it worked surprisingly well for the price. The blade stayed sharp through multiple cuts and didn’t overheat even when used dry. It’s a solid choice for anyone doing light to medium-duty work without spending a fortune. I’ll definitely keep one of these in my toolbox from now on.

I’ve gone through several projects cutting granite slabs and concrete blocks, and the blade is still sharp. Very impressed with the durability. Highly recommended for anyone needing a dependable diamond cutting blade.

Put in a new fence and second planter and extended pavers to block wall. Ended up having to cut 49 pavers and it cut great. The 6-inch blade only cut halfway thru so had to turn over and cut backside so 98 total cuts. Towards the last few it was cutting a bit slower but the last cut was at least 90% as easy as the first. I did almost miss that there was a direction of the blade and if put in backwards it would cut but not very well and for very long on the backside of the notch. I would highly recommend.

Cut a total of 24 feet in a concrete floor, and it was still cutting great at the end. I constantly sprayed water to the blade stopping every 6inches to scrap away the slurry. It went surprisingly fast, cutting about 9-12inches a minute. My Skill saw wanted to drift to the right, it took some muscle to keep it on track.. But I don't think it was related to the blade.
